It was swept under the rug by the media, but the Twitter/CNN wing of the Democrat party recently told us that they aren’t fans of former President Barack Obama. And that matters because Joe Biden’s only viability as a candidate exists because he was part of that presidency.
The revelation came courtesy of newly-elected House Representative and treasure trove of troubles for the media and Democrats, Ilhan Omar.
In March of this year, Omar trashed Obama saying he caged kids and murdered people around the world with drone strikes. She went on:
“We don’t want anybody to get away with murder because they are polished. We want to recognize the actual policies that are behind the pretty face and the smile.”
From the original reporting:
As she saw it, the party ostensibly committed to progressive values had become complicit in perpetuating the status quo. Omar says the “hope and change” offered by Barack Obama was a mirage. Recalling the “caging of kids” at the U.S.-Mexico border and the “droning of countries around the world” on Obama’s watch, she argues that the Democratic president operated within the same fundamentally broken framework as his Republican successor.
There was plenty more that she said during the interview, and that happened in the aftermath, including Omar’s failed attempt at claiming the reporter who quoted her had distorted her words. Her clean up job was however insufficient, and she deleted the tweet wherein she made the accusation.
And then nobody said anything.
It was just swept under the rug.
The painfully skin color-obsessed media and Democrats swooned over Omar and other recently elected representatives for the remarkable feat of being born without white skin. These representatives, we were told, were not only the future of the Democrat party but the saviors of our republic and probably the world.
So apparently, the future of the Democrat party thinks Obama is a murderer deserving of the same ferocity and hatred they foist on President Trump. And the Twitter/CNN wing of the Democrat party no doubt agree with her, or gladly would if the views had a chance to get any oxygen.
But someone then obviously told Omar that, like much of the Left’s true intentions and beliefs, attacking Obama is something they can only do in private. That’s why after offering her unflinching disapproval and scorn for Obama, she quickly and laughably tried to claim she never actually said those things.
The comically unhinged Twitter/CNN wing of the Democrat party has already committed the entirety of its time and attention to issues nobody cares about: All day, every day, the Twitter/CNN crowd promote fringe issues along with unserious people and stories, while still pushing the easily discredited Trump-Russia conspiracy theory. They do this because it’s what their most engaged audience members demand. And recently made aware that the rest of the nation can see what the Twitter/CNN lunatics are doing, the leaders of that wing tried to explain to the rest of the nation with help from the New York Times that their most amplified and enthusiastic voices don’t actually represent the broader Democrat party.
“We’re not all anti-Semites who think President Trump and his entire family should be sent to prison, and that America should pivot immediately to fully socialist system,” Resistance Jake Tapper and others essentially pleaded.
And that may be true.
But it’s also true that Joe Biden’s entire brand rests on respect for former President Obama, and congressional sacred cows like Ilhan Omar think Obama is a murderous thug who got away with it because he has a nice smile.
While the leaders of the Twitter/CNN wing of the Democrat party pretend to distance themselves from the fringe elements in their base, reality paints a much different picture as both Twitter and CNN work diligently to cater consistently and in fact exclusively to those fringe elements.
This is why Twitter enables violence, hatred and bigotry from the Left while kicking Trump supporters off the platform for flimsy if not entirely fabricated violations.
This is why CNN basically waits to see what has their Twitter audience the most fired up, and then sets their own “news” agenda to help promote those conversations. (And if you take issue with that and have a better explanation, then you’ll have to also explain why the entire network, including literally every one of its anchors, remain so committed to the conspiracy theory that the President of the United States is actually a Russian spy.)
The bottom line: Ilhan Omar hates former President Obama and thinks he’s guilty of murder. And if given the chance, virtually every one of her supporters would eventually concur. But the media and Democrats can’t let that happen because their great, gropey hope — Joe Biden — is only credible because he was part of the Obama administration. And so the most instrumental weapons in their arsenal, Twitter as a social media platform and CNN as the propaganda arm that helps massage their messaging, paired up to help spread the word that fringe voices like Omar’s aren’t actually representative of the broader party.
And, as noted earlier, that may be true. But the powers that be at Twitter and CNN will continue doing everything they can to make those fringe voices more palatable. It will just take some time. And they’re hoping desperately that Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib will be patient enough to let them do it carefully rather than just blowing the whole thing up.
