Lies That Become Truth Because The Media Tell Them So Much

Everyone already knows the political news media has been hijacked by Democrat activists who masquerade as impartial journalists, and that they characterize every story so it fits their anti-Trump narrative, and that while the Democrats adopted Russia’s second favorite tool for destroying our nation (identity politics) — the media added Russia’s favorite tool to their arsenal: Disinformation.

All of that is common knowledge to most Americans at this point.

All day, every day, with a straight face and while claiming to be impartial, the mainstream media try desperately to convince the American people that our duly-elected President is a racist, a rapist, a Russian spy, and/or literally insane. And most of the time they’re flagrantly lying in order to push that message.

THE MEDIA’S HISTORY OF LYING FOR DEMOCRATS

The media, unfortunately, tell a lot of lies that eventually become true.

They lie about our nation, saying we’re all very hateful and racist. And then they start pitting us against each other by class, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. Currently, in support of their Democrat allies, the media are trying to convince America that all black/brown people are victims, and all white people are the reason why. (They do this while claiming to champion racial progress and unity. Yes. Really.) The lie becomes true, as our nation becomes more racially divided thanks to the Democrats and media who conveniently thrive off of the ensuing pain and disunity.

They also convinced our nation that tax rates for the rich caused poor people to buy homes they couldn’t afford. Yes. Really. It was a total lie but they told it so much that people believed it, and the Democrats and their socialist agenda were never held to account for their role in creating the greatest recession since the Great Depression.

THE MEDIA’S LIES ABOUT PRESIDENT TRUMP

With respect to President Trump, the media lie and spin literally all day to attack him, his supporters, and our nation’s overall health while he is President.

One example is the media’s claim that Trump “admitted to sexual assault” on the Access Hollywood tape. The media and their Democrat allies have told this lie so much that it basically became true. Without going too deep here, Trump used the word “let” on that tape. He said “they let you do it.” And the word “let” confers consent. You don’t have to like it. You don’t have to think it’s pretty. But you shouldn’t stoke hatred and division — you shouldn’t dilute the gravity of real sexual assault, and the plight of real victims — by lying about it. If someone lets you do something, what you did isn’t sexual assault. “Words Matter!”, right Resistance Jake Tapper? Isn’t that what you and your friends at CNN are always shrieking at us? Well, it’d be great if you stopped choosing to ignore the words that destroy your anti-Trump narrative. Just a thought.

Another lie the media told so much that it basically became true is that Trump admitted to firing Comey because of the Russia investigation. As evidence, they point to a selectively edited portion of Trump’s interview with NBC’s Lester Holt. They play a clip where Trump says Russia was on his mind when he fired Comey. They leave out the part where he says it was on his mind because he knew people might think that’s why he fired Comey; and as a result, it would only prolong the Russia investigation; but he had to do it anyway because it’s what was right for the country.

Here’s the part the media plays:

But regardless of recommendations I was going to fire Comey, knowing there was no good time to do it. And in fact when I decided to just do it I said to myself, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story; it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won.’

That’s the part they play.

Here’s the part they leave out:

As far as I’m concerned, I want that thing [the Russia investigation] to be absolutely done properly. When I did this now [fired Comey] I said ‘I probably maybe will confuse people. Maybe I’ll expand that — y’know — I’ll lengthen the time, because it should be over with.’ It should, in my opinion, it should’ve been over with a long time ago because all it is is an excuse. But I said to myself ‘I might even lengthen out the investigation but I have to do the right thing for the American people.’

(Go see for yourself, if you’d like. The whole clip is linked in that piece.)

So Trump fired Comey even though he knew people might think it was because of the Russia investigation. And he knew that by firing Comey, he might even prolong the investigation. But he did it anyway for the good of the country. That’s what Trump told Holt. What the media heard, and what they claim is the truth, is that “Trump admitted he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation.” It’s really incredible. But that’s the lie they’ve spun, and now it’s basically become the truth as far as the media and their supporters (the Democrat base) are concerned.

Those are just two examples of the media’s anti-Trump lies being told so much that they eventually become “true.” And the anchors and panels on CNN and elsewhere just casually toss the lies around, with zero accountability or pushback. Of course when the Mueller report comes out and there isn’t a single word about that Holt interview, the media will have some explaining to do. Because that’s a lie they’ve been telling just to feel like they have something concrete to hang around the President’s neck. And when it’s revealed that their dishonest reporting doesn’t actually hold up as legitimate evidence, they’ll have a lot of their supporters crying foul and claiming Mueller ignored the Holt interview because he was *reaches in the grab bag* intimidated by Trump’s tweets. (Get ready to enjoy: When the media and Democrats find out his investigation went nowhere, the imminent demonization of His Highness Mueller will be hilarious.)

But the media has spun a much more dangerous lie that is contributing to a much more destructive Democrat+media narrative. They use it any time they can stoke racial tension and division in our nation, and it’s the attack they use more than any other when trying to paint President Trump as a racist.

THE MEDIA LIE ABOUT CHARLOTTESVILLE

The media say that President Trump, talking to reporters after Charlottesville, failed to condemn the Nazis and instead called them “very fine people.”

But President Trump made a few comments at the press conference that the media choose to ignore. Here’s one:

And you had people, and I’m not talking about the Neo-Nazis or the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.

Got that? The people he defends in this press conference are not the Neo-Nazis or white supremacists. The people he is defending are people “other than” the racists. Moreover, he says the racists should be condemned totally. How do we know? Because that’s literally what he said: “I’m not talking about the Neo-Nazis or the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”

Now Trump haters like Chuck Todd and Resistance Jake Tapper will say, “But he said some of the people there were very fine people. Who was he talking about, if not the Nazis?”

He told us that as well, in the same press conference…

You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue.

The debate about Confederate statues is a big one, and not everyone involved is a Nazi. Some of them are very fine people who just happen to disagree with other very fine people about whether or not those statues should come down. And that’s who the President was talking about.

The President very clearly condemned the racists, and then went further by explicitly saying that’s not who he was defending, and then went even further still by telling us who he was defending.

But the media — who claim to be honest and impartial — refuse to tell viewers that’s what actually happened, and they claim instead “He refused to condemn the Nazis and instead called them ‘very fine people.’ Can you believe that? The President called the Nazis ‘very fine people!'”

And now, because they told the lie so much and so few Trump defenders were around or prepared to push back on it, it basically became true in the public conversation. It’s disgusting and divisive and destructive, and it’s creating very real hatred and division every day in our country, but the media will keep telling it and ignoring those who point out the truth.

CONCLUSION

As painful as it is to watch CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS etc spread these lies so aggressively that they basically become true, I get some comfort in the knowledge that most people already know the media have completely discredited themselves. I’m not sure what the future holds but, thanks in part to the total destruction of the media’s credibility,  I have a feeling Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper and the rest may get an even more rude awakening in 2020 than they did in 2016. My concern is, how will they respond? Will they step up their efforts to divide our nation? Will they work even harder to create the division, disparity and destruction they purport to combat? I don’t know. But I’ll be watching. And I know you’ll be watching too. And hopefully, a little more mindful of the media’s penchant for telling lies until they become true, we can get out front a little earlier next time and try to mitigate the division and destruction that the US political news media, Russians, and Democrat party are foisting on our nation.
