The only thing that’s worse than Democrats’ [historically-consistent] hyper focus on skin color, is feckless Republicans’ unwillingness to call them out for it.
Since Omarosa Whatever’s exit from the White House, Democrat propagandists like ABC’s Jonathan Karl and CNN’s Anderson Cooper think they’re doing some hard-hitting work when they ask Trump officials and supporters for a racial roll call.
At what point will someone — anyone — on the right have the courage to call out this blatant bigotry?
I wish to God I could be on one of these shows because I’d have a really easy time with it…
Let me get this straight. The Trump Administration is hiring people without looking at race, and you’re sitting around looking only at race…and I’m supposed to be worried that we’re the ones who appear racist? You people need to evolve. I know you think you’re helping when you demand that we all look at race before anything else, but I think that’s pretty regressive. And I’m guessing you do a lot more to stoke racial division and animosity than you do to help bring people together.
That’s off the top of my head. And unedited. And I wrote it as fast as I thought it.
That’s the general message.
And it’s not just politically expedient.
It’s not just about turning the tables on swamp parasites like Karl and Cooper.
It’s about actually helping inspire both progress and unity in our nation, because it’s true.
As I wrote a few weeks ago, in plain sight the Left promote social segregation and racial division — and nobody on our side calls them out for it.
Nobody has the guts.
What do they do instead?
Well, in the last 36 hours I’ve watched Kellyanne Conway and Paris Dennard both dive head first in to the Democrats’ lazy, regressive, bigoted trap. They mumble, fumble, and stumble around trying to keep up with the bigotry that’s just been foist on them.
Call them out, Kellyanne and Paris! Show some backbone! If you judge people based on skin color, no matter your intent, you’re a bigot. Because you judge people based on skin color.
There’s no nuance or crapademic psychobabble that can justify it.
Call them out!
But no. Instead, yet again, rather than using the Democrats’ language and platform against them, we instead bow down to them out of total fear.
We should be calling out Civil Rights wannabes like Karl and Cooper, who in 2018 are proudly promoting the idea that race matters and we should all be hyperfocused on skin color instead of character.
Race. Doesn’t. Matter.
And no matter how much you regressive bigots on the Left want to make it matter in my life, I’m not going to let you. And I’m not going to enable or empower your bigotry.
I was born in 1977 and taught by literally everyone — from family, to teachers, to media — that I should judge by character, and ignore color. Now, more than 40 years later, the Democrats have decided that’s a terrible idea. Now, more than 40 years later, they’re saying that we must judge by skin color — and that only a racist would claim to judge character first.
It’s insane. And it’s regressive. And it’s divisive. And it’s happening right there in plain sight for all to see. And it’s just so painful to yet again see Republicans with the biggest megaphones do the absolute worst job pushing back against the regressive bigots on the left who divide and destroy exponentially more than they unite and heal.
So the next time someone asks you for a racial roll call, you tell them this…
If you’re the one in this conversation who says skin color matters, and that I should be sitting around playing ‘count the colors’ — then I’m sorry but you’re the racist in this conversation. I’m the one saying race doesn’t matter, and we’ll hire the best people available for the jobs we have open. That’s what progress looks like. And try as you may to keep us from getting there, I’m not going to start judging people by skin color just to make you happy. I’m not going to sit around and tally up how many people of what race I have doing which jobs. Because I think it’s regressive and divisive, and I won’t be dragged down in your cesspool of bigotry and identity politics.
Again, these are on-the-fly statements that I’m not editing or even slowing down to think about as I write them. It’s just the truth. And I have the courage of my convictions to back it up. It’s just a shame — and frankly it’s getting really old — that so few others with huge megaphones on “our side” can say the same thing.
