CNN’s producers on Thursday showed viewers that facts don’t come first, and words don’t matter.
Erin Burnett and her “Out Front” team rolled a clip of President Trump talking about the flow of heroin across the southern border. Among his remarks…
We will be building a wall which will greatly help in this problem.
But in the media-bias-equivalent of full frontal nudity, the chyron at the bottom of the screen snarked…
TRUMP CLAIMS HIS BORDER WALL WILL STOP FLOW OF HEROIN
President Trump says the wall “we” are building will “greatly help” the problem of heroin coming across the US border. But CNN, always trying to make him sound boorish, mockingly claims he said that “his wall” would “STOP” the flow of heroin.
The real kicker here is that they make the dishonest claims while the clip of what he actually said is playing.
This past week, CNN started their “#FactsFirst!” campaign.
And CNN anchors shout “Words matter!” about every 20 minutes, as if there’s a single person on the planet who isn’t already aware of that.
But so rich is their fear of a successful Trump Presidency and so exhausted is their ability to maintain the facade of being an impartial news organization, that today they told viewers they’re just not even going to try to hide it anymore.
They’re going to blatantly mischaracterize the President’s words in an effort to make him look bad, and they don’t care who knows it.
