CBS’ Norah O’Donnell reported on Thursday that economic improvement under President Trump means more people will die in car accidents.
“A new report says the improving economy has a downside: More traffic deaths,” O’Donnell explained. Citing a report from the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety, O’Donnell reported that “A stronger economy fuels more driving.” And “The National Safety Council predicts more than 400 people could be killed in crashes this Memorial Day Weekend.”
It’s unclear if anyone at CBS sees any upside to a strong economy. We reached out for comment but have not yet heard back.
